League Rules
Inter-Town Baseball League Rules
Our Minors and Majors divisions play under the Inter-Town Baseball League Rules. The minors division plays on a 46/60 little league regulation diamond, and the majors division plays on a 50/70 diamond. The goal of the majors division is to better prepare the young players for their transition into Babe Ruth, where they will play on a 60/90 major league regulation diamond in 7th and 8th grade. Both divisions participate in the Inter-Town Playoffs in mid-June. The Inter-Town baseball league offers youth players a competitive environment, but most importantly, a place for them to have fun and learn the art of baseball.
You can review the ITBL Rules for Majors and Minors (Triple A), and Farm (also known as our Double A division) on their website.
USA Essex Softball League Rules
As of 2026, the Essex County Women's Softball League will be run by USA Softball under a new USA Essex Softball League. The league is a volunteer group of individual towns joined together for the betterment of youth softball under the governing body of USA Softball. Each town has a president/director/coordinator who represents their town's program at league meetings with USA Softball.
League Rules are still being finalized for the 2026 season.
